“The joys of serving the community are wonderful. Assisting the community for the better is a job that can start at any moment,” These are the words of  Women Inspired founder Dr Nothando Moyo.

Speaking to Amakhosikazi Media on the commemoration of the International Women’s Month, Dr Moyo said the spirit of servitude is what drives her selfless commitment to make the world a better place.

“Women’s Month is a time for women to be acknowledged and appreciated for what they do every day which is often taken for granted,” said Dr Moyo.

Women's History Month is an annually commemorated month that highlights the contributions of women to events in history and contemporary society.

“To all women out there, we see you, your sacrifices and your hard work too. We love you and we appreciate you.”

Also coinciding with women’s month is International Women's Day (IWD) celebrated on March 8th every year, a focal point in the movement for women's rights.

“Nobody needs to wait a single moment before starting to improve the world. At Women Inspire we take it upon ourselves to train women in coming up with business ventures as well as equipping them with skills to fend for themselves,” said Dr Moyo.

She said her sources of inspiration are women who put other people’s needs before their own and they carry huge burdens on their shoulders, that gives her the drive to equip them to fend for themselves financially.

“This will make their their burden much lighter,” said Dr Moyo.

Dr Moyo is a passionate business enthusiast who has a wealth of knowledge having attained a PhD in Cyprus and founded a beauty parlour business at the age of 19.

She was recently conferred with the Global Super Women Achiever Award at the 6th Global Women Leadership Summit in Mumbai.

“It made me realise how appreciation goes a long way. Half the time you would not be aware that anyone notices what you would be doing out there,” says Dr Moyo.

Women Inspired is an ambassador to Mustard Seed Orphanage which works to secure scholarships for children while on the other hand, Dr Moyo runs an education consultancy that assists students secure study opportunities abroad.
