Royalty,
Adorned with loyalty,
Some raised with cruelty,
Yet they are still standing.
Amazing!
I salute you.
Zindlovukaz’ ezigqiza ziqhwabazele kugxoz’ amadoda,
Insuzela kud’ eziqolo ngelika lonyovu,
Omadiyazela kunyef’ umhlabathi,
Bahle babunjwe babumbeka.
Women of Africa I salute you!
Brilliant,
Resilient,
And self-reliant.
Pounding yam,
And raising warriors.
Weaving baskets,
And owning businesses that feed the nation.
African woman you are marvellous.
Beautifully moulded to perfection,
Cultured,
Sun-kissed skin.
Sharp piercing eyes,
Eyes that outshine the sun,
Defeated stars twinkle from a distance.
Bazinzile,
Izisotha sihleli sazotha,
Ubekezelo lwakhile,
Baziqhenya ngobunsundu babo,
Ubunsund’ ibusunduz’ izizwe zicobek’ amathambo.
Under precarious conditions, you thrive,
In a perilous world, you’re the hope,
Hope for a food secure Africa,
A home with respect for human rights,
Human life matters the most,
Aluta continua,
The future is brighter.
