Women’s Media for Development Foundation T/A Amakhosikazi Media is a women led and focused Media for development institution. WMDF’s main aim is to put women’s development issues on the agenda through various multi-media platforms off and online through engagement, advocacy, content creation and news coverage and distribution.
WMDF was registered as a trust in August 2010 and the media arm Amakhosikazi Media was formed in 2014 and started being fully operational in 2017. Amakhosikazi media is now WMDF’s biggest project working with over a dozen journalists and communications professionals. It produces over a dozen multimedia products like Women’s News Beat on Skyz Metro FM, Amakhosikazi Chatroom Podcast on Anchor, One on One with Amakhosikazi on You Tube, News articles on the website among other products.
